This weekend the British Touring Car Championships (BTCC) took to Thruxton in Hampshire, one of the highest average speed and most thrilling circuits in the tournament. The Power Maxed TAG Racing (PMTR) team had yet another successful weekend with both drivers giving an excellent performance for rounds 7,8,9 of the BTCC.
Senna Proctor scored his second podium of the season after outstanding driving throughout the weekend. Proctor demonstrated his pace during the practise sessions and qualified in 5th place which was his best qualifying performance in his BTCC career to date. Proctor’s performance continued to improve throughout the weekend as he finished, 7th in the race 1, 6th in race 2 and 3rd in race 3. Senna Proctor said: “Saturday brought me my best qualifying position yet, and I can’t help but be happy with my consistency throughout the weekend.”
To add to the success of the weekend, Josh Cook won another round in race 2, taking first place again. Cook made an excellent start finishing 9th in race 1 and continued to show off the speed of the Vauxhall Astra by finishing 1st in race 2. Josh Cook said: “That was really good fun. To win my first race at Donington Park was obviously enjoyable, but to do it from the middle of the pack like that was even better.”
The PMTR team were thrilled with a great weekend performance and cannot wait for the racing to continue. The next rounds of the BTCC will take place on the 9th- 10th June at Oulton Park in Cheshire. Don’t miss your chance to see the PMTR Vauxhall Astras in action at one of the most popular events of the BTCC.
